BiO·TA Scientific : Refund & Return Policy

At Biosphere Outfitters | Timberline & Angler - Scientific, we curate small-batch and boutique gear from specialized manufacturers. Because we work with independent craftsmen and technical suppliers to bring you unique equipment, our return policy is designed to support both the maker and the end-user.

1. The "Field-Ready" Guarantee (Defects & Damages)

If your gear arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, we will make it right.

  • Timeline: You must notify us within 7 days of delivery.

  • Process: Please include photos of the defect and the packaging.

  • Resolution: We will coordinate with our suppliers to provide a pre-paid return label and issue a full refund or a replacement once the item is inspected.

2. Technical Gear & Small-Batch Returns

Because many of our items are produced in limited runs or are technical in nature:

  • Unused Condition: Items must be returned in original, unopened packaging with all tags attached. We cannot accept returns on gear that has been used in the field, mounted (for archery), or spooled (for fishing).

  • Return Window: Returns for store credit or refund (minus shipping) are accepted within 14 days of delivery.

  • Return Shipping: For non-defective returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee. This fee helps us manage the logistics of boutique, middleman-facilitated fulfillment.

3. Non-Returnable Items

To ensure safety and quality standards, the following cannot be returned:

  • Final Sale or "Outlet" items.

  • Custom-branded or personalized gear.

  • Items that have been "field-tested" or show signs of wear.

4. How to Start a Return

Do not "Return to Sender" or ship items back to the address on your package, as our boutique suppliers utilize various fulfillment centers. You must contact us first to receive the correct authorized return address.
